THE LAWYER - SARAH YONG

Sarah is a dispute resolution lawyer with a particular interest in cyber laws and data protection.

Prior to becoming a lawyer, Sarah had an early exposure to the legal industry when she worked as an Officer for the Bar Council of Malaysia while studying for the Certificate in Legal Practice examinations. She was in-charge of practice area committees such as Cyberlaws, Construction Law, Intellectual Property and Personal Data Protection Law, among others, where she gained knowledge and established good rapport through her work and interactions with learned members.

Sarah is elected as a member of the Bar Council and the current Chairperson of the Technology, Cyber & Privacy Law Committee.

Before setting up her own legal firm, Sarah was a dispute resolution lawyer at the Lo Chambers and a Legal Associate in Intellectual Property (IP) & Technology Practice Group at Koh Dipendra Jeremiah Law (KDJLaw).

She has an LLB from the University of Sheffield and a Certificate of Legal Practice (CLP).
